A faith that seeks and accepts the support of science is already more than half way to extinction. Science has nothing of any value to offer faith, and any sect that goes to science begging for support is certain to receive a stone instead of the bread it needs.Scientists who confuse their faith with their speculations do both a grave injury, for the speculations, once they are contradicted in the scientific domain by a single experiment, are abandoned by scientists and thus, by losing all standing in their own province, subtly infect the faith, into which they have been grotesquely transplanted, with irrational skepticism. Those who seek the support of science for their dogmas are more concerned with gaining a powerful support for their own prestige and the security of their worldly livings than they are in maintaining & spreading what they are popularly supposed to believe is the truth.
