An interesting observation is given by St. Anselm in his famous book Cur Deus Homo, (Why God Became Man), Book II, Chapter VIII.

There are Four possible ways that humans can be created:

1- Of Both a Man and a Woman,
as are
most humans.

2- Of Neither a Man Nor a Woman,
as was
Adam.

3- Of a Man but Not a Woman,
as was
Eve.

4- Of a Woman but Not a Man,
as was
Jesus.

Here are some of the properties of each kind of human:

1- Of Both a Man and a Woman.

They are Born with a Sinful nature.

It is Not possible for them Not to Sin.

It is Not possible for them to avoid Physical Death.

Their physical death is the penalty for their sin.

Their physical death is not payment enough to redeem them.

2- Of Neither a Man Nor a Woman: Adam

3- Of a Man but Not a Woman: Eve

They were Created (Born) with a Sinless nature.

It was Possible for them Not to Sin.

It was Possible to avoid Physical Death.

They chose Physical Death by Disobedience.

Eve chose Physical Death by being Deceived.

Adam chose Physical Death Knowingly.

Their physical death was the penalty for their sin.

Their physical death was not payment enough to redeem them.

4- Of a Woman but Not a Man: Jesus

He was Born with a Sinless nature

It was Possible for Him Not to Sin.

It was Possible for Him to avoid Physical Death.

He chose Physical Death by Obedience.

He chose Physical Death Willingly.

His Physical Death was sufficient to pay the penalty for Sin for all those to whom He applies the benefits, i.e. for all those who believe in His Deity.
